With backgrounds in running our own online retail businesses, we’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit—but food has always been at the heart of our passion. Keen Café is the dream we turned into reality, combining our love for good food, warm hospitality, and community vibes.

“I’ve worked in cafés since I was a teenager,” says Saba. “So while the transition has been a big one, a lot of it felt second nature. Still, it’s been an exciting and rewarding challenge for both of us.”

It’s important to us that our menu has something for everyone—vegans, protein lovers, and comfort foodies alike. Whether you’re after a nourishing smoothie, a satisfying brunch, or just a killer cup of coffee, we’ve made sure there’s something on the menu you’ll love.

Keen Café is our little passion project, stemming from a love for the Bali food scene.

Canggu has really become the epicentre for incredible food & coffee, and we wanted to join this movement. We love that these spaces bring together people from all over the world.

Meet the Keen Café co-founders- Dan & Saba

Dan, from Newcastle, England, and Saba, from Auckland, New Zealand. We were both solo expats and online entrepreneurs that fell in love with Bali and everything it has to offer.

We also love that in Bali, cafés are more than just places to eat—they’re places to be. Whether you're working remotely, catching up with friends, escaping the heat, or sparking new connections, cafés here often double as sanctuaries, meet-up spots, and creative hubs. We wanted Keen Café to be all of that and more.
